Power raking and hand raking

· Power raking is a large carbide tipped drum, when attached to a loader or tractor acts something like a rototiller. It effectively levels and prepares turf areas for seeding or sod installation. Most lawns will require hand raking for a final cleanup and finish prior to seed application.
· The same piece of equipment also grades crush and run stone for driveways and parking areas.

Lawn development, repair, soil amendments & over seeding

Established lawns suffer from a variety of pests, infestation, abuse from extremely dry or wet seasons or the homeowner simply got extremely busy and the lawn fell into some neglect. TSP Lawn and Landscapes can create new lawns from scratch or repair lawns to create healthy green areas with soil amendments and over seeding.

Preparation for Seed bed or Sod installation

Adding Soil amendments eg: Biocom* or Nutrigreen* among other products is usually essential for seed bed preparation or sod installation. The first step is usually to rid the lawn of weeds (defined as “anything you do not want growing in your lawn”. Either of the two mentioned products can slowly leach into the soil or when doing a new planting, can be worked into the soil, breaking up soil that is compacted.

Rock delivery and installation

Rock beds are attractive décor. They can also be quite functional, helping to control runoff or erosion. Stone comes in a wide variety. We have ready access and availability for most any stone on the market.

Topsoil delivery and application

· This can be sifted topsoil or a blend of Biocom and sifted topsoil.
· It is delivered in 1 cubic yard amounts and can either be placed near where you wish to have it spread or we can deliver and apply.
· We also have a reasonable quality fill dirt. If you have a need to reshape, correct erosion or fill areas this is the appropriate choice. Many customers would have areas filled and then spread a blend of topsoil and/or Biocom prior to planting seed or bedding plants
· If the area is an area than can erode fairly easily TSP Lawn and Landscapes also delivers and installs erosion matting
· In some cases it is then most appropriate to perform Hydroseeding (Link) of the area. This more consistently ensures that the seed is protected from washing away prior to germination, as well as providing nutrients and protection from extreme heat and drying.
